Mining Software Repositories Awards

The Mining Software Repositories community has several awards that recognize outstanding contributions.

• The Foundational Contribution Award recognizes fundamental contributions in the field of mining software repositories, which helped many others to build on it to advance the state of the art.
• The Ric Holt Early Career Achievement Award recognizes outstanding junior researchers who have provided outstanding contributions in the area of mining software repositories.
• The Distinguished Doctoral Research Award recognizes outstanding doctoral research that has the potential to have a strong, long-lasting impact in the research area of mining software repositories.

FOSS Impact Award

To encourage research on understanding and improving Free, Open Source Software (FOSS), the MSR conference has established the FOSS Impact Award. The award will be granted to MSR papers that show outstanding contributions to the FOSS community.
